Making homemade Paneer with Citric Acid

If you're a fan of Indian food, then you're going to love making your own paneer at home. Traditionally, paneer is made from curdled buffalo milk or goat's milk, spices, and either force-fed or dehydrated paneer cheese. If you want to make paneer using citric acid instead of traditional methods, read on for some delicious homemade paneer tikka recipes.

To make homemade paneer tikka at home, you'll need some paneer cheese and some chicken breasts or tofu. You can either marinate the chicken in a mixture of lime juice, cumin seeds, chili powder, salt, and pepper OR you can just cook it up until it's slightly browned and then shred it with a fork.

Once the chicken is cooked, add it to a bowl with the shredded paneer cheese and some salt. Mash everything together until it's uniform, then let it sit for about 5 minutes so that the flavors can blend together. Finally, shape the mixture into small patties and fry them in a little oil or ghee until they're golden brown and crispy. Serve them warm with mint chutney or naan breads. Enjoy!
