Delicious Falooda with Basil Seeds

1. Clean half tablespoon basil (tukmaria/sabja) seeds and rinse them. 

2. Then add more water and soak. 

3. You can also directly add them to a tea strainer and rinse them under running water. Soak them in half cup water. 

4.  When you are ready to make the falooda, drain them to a tea strainer to get rid of excess water. There are different kinds of falooda sev. 

5. Some need to be soaked in hot water and some require boiling for a minute. 

6. I had to bring water to a boil in a pot or pan. Then add half cup sev and cook until they are done for 2 minutes. Once cooked drain  these and set aside.

7. Add 2-3 tablespoons sugar to 1 ¾ cups chilled milk. Stir it until dissolve. 

8. Add 1 tablespoons jelly. Add 1 tablespoons basil seeds. Ensure there is no water in your basil seeds. Add 2-3 tbsp of sev. 

9. Make sure there is no water in your sev. Pour 1 tablespoons rose syrup. Next transfer chilled milk. 

10. Scoop off the ice cream and top it. 

11. Garnish falooda with chopped pistachios or any other nuts. You can pour 1 tablespoon rose syrup and garnish with cherries.
